Teton Sands... Complex Adaptive Systems

Through two decades of research and practice, Teton Sands has helped advance the science of management.  Discoveries were sometimes counterintuitive.  Just as Sabermetrics dispatched long held “truisms” to baseball’s scrapheap, methodical analysis of sales and business transactions proved the fallacy of certain entrenched management practices.

Research is now being taken to another level.  Management, sales, and cognition are addressed as the complex adaptive systems they are.  To encourage fresh viewpoints and interdisciplinary thinking, Teton’s team was expanded to include leading immunologists.

One experimental practice area shows particular promise.  Self organizing “mesh-works,” is based upon integrating three disciplines ~ complex adaptive systems, linguistics, and cognitive science.  Initial applications have been applied to: communications and information processing; bio-medical; and, large enterprise modeling.
